Hiring HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST
Applicants require a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or extensive prior experience in human resources.
LOCATION: Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria.
OVERVIEW: Typical duties of a Human Resource Generalist is to perform activities in the human resource area. They are trained to be specialists who screen, recruit, interview, and place workers. Human resource generalists are trained to perform both administrative and strategic hiring duties and planning. They recruit and place workers, train and on-board, and help guide new employees through the complicated process of benefits and compensation. They represent both the employee and the company, and handles employee relations. Human Resources Generalists also have the crucial task of complying with all local, state, and federal regulations for Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be organized, experienced, and a dedicated strategist and planner.
REQUIREMENT: You will be required to recruit and interview potential applicants on experience, skills, and education; Update job requirements when needed; Analyzes staffing logistics and organizes documentation; Contact applicant references and perform background checks required by company; Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs; Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education; Cover all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements; Maintain employee records and paperwork; Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company; including employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
Knowledge and understanding of general human resources policies and procedures; Must be proactive and a quick learner; Excellent communication skill; Eloquent with sound command of the English language; Good knowledge of employment/labor laws; Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; Excellent communication and people skills; Aptitude in problem-solving; Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach; Additional HR training will be a plus
The job requires that you work Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm (Lunch break inclusive). However, it is important to note that you will be required on occasion to work extended hours and on weekends as the need arises.
